Whether you come to Paris for the shopping or the architecture, the food or the history, the nightlife or the museums, you’ll be sure to find a hotel within Bessé Signature that feels as if it was designed specifically for you.West University Travel Advisor Kelly recently spent a week in Paris exploring the best of the city’s hotels. She stayed in three Bessé Signature hotels: The Vernet, the Bel Ami, and the Edouard 7. Each hotel had its own unique personality, history, and appeal. Here’s what she had to say about all three:

Hotel Vernet: The Spirit of the Champs-Élysées

If chic and modern luxury in close proximity to upscale shopping is what you seek, look no further than the lovely Hotel Vernet! Boasting an ideal location in Paris’s 8th arrondissement just steps from the Champs-Élysées and the iconic Arc de Triomphe, the Hotel Vernet perfectly portrays classic French elegance and craftsmanship.

From the moment you step through the doors, fine materials transport you to a world of luxury, while the colours and clean lines of the furnishings and works of art add a very up-to-the-minute lightness and sophistication. Poke your head out the large window and you’ll see scenes of daily Parisian life unfolding on quiet streets. The Vernet is the epitome of Right Bank luxury, sophistication and style.

Hotel Bel Ami: The Spirit of Saint-Germain

If art, literature and culture are your bread and butter, you might just fall in love with Paris’s Left Bank. And there’s no better neighborhood to get a feel for the culture and history of the Left Bank than Saint‑Germain‑des‑Prés! This area has been home to some of the world’s greatest creative minds, such as Hemingway and Picasso, as well as other lesser-known intellectuals, artists, writers, philosophers, and students.

The Hotel Bel Ami is located in the heart of Saint Germain, in close proximity to historic churches, wonderful shopping, and delightful cafes–the very same cafes that Hemingway and his posse once spent their days in! The decor of this hotel is chic, modern, colorful and feminine. Pops of blues, oranges, greens and pinks make their way into the contemporary and sophisticated rooms. The hotel occupies the site of a 19th century printing works…the very same printing works that published “Bel-Ami”, the novel by French writer Guy de Maupassant.

The Bel Ami honors its literary history through the many libraries and books displayed throughout the hotel. From the breakfast room to the lobby, and from the bar to the guest rooms, the Bel Ami is inviting and elegant, and we dare you to stay here without feeling happy and inspired.

Hotel Edouard 7: The Spirit of Haute Couture

Named for the Prince of Wales who was fascinated by the culture and lifestyle of Paris in the early 20th century, the Hotel Edouard 7 is located just a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier, as well as the famous Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores. The Prince was known for his zest for life, his audacity, and his theatricality, and the Hotel Edouard 7 pays tribute to his unique personality and way of life.

Rich fabrics and flamboyant colors come together to create a style that honors the spirit of “haute couture” in Paris. You’ll have no trouble remembering exactly where you are in the world when you settle into your sophisticated and stylish Parisian room, many of which have large balconies overlooking the lively streets below.
